Welcome to Horse Play, Inc.

We are on the lookout to add another lesson horse to our team.

We are specifically in search of a 14 to 14.3 hands gelding. This gelding needs to have impeccable ground manners, patience, and a love bug personality. This horse needs to be beginner ready and sound on all gaits. We can take your horse on a care lease agreement or we can purchase it. A trial period is a must!

If you are interested, please call 931-222-4159 or contact Hollie Holder at horseplayinc.programdirector@gmail.com for more details.

Horse Play, Inc. receives a Nashville Predators Foundation Helper Grant.

Who We Are

Horse Play, Inc. is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. We provide recreational riding for special needs children ages 4 through 18. Founded in 1997 with 4 children and borrowed horses, we have now grown to serve 50 plus children, owning 2 horses and leasing 6 others with over 70 community volunteers. Horse Play, Inc. is now managed by a dedicated and trained team of staff and volunteers, headed by our Program Director. Horse Play, Inc. complies with the Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship International (PATH) standards and guidelines concerning safety, training equipment and instruction.

What We Do

What We Do

We serve children from Coffee and surrounding counties in Tennessee providing these three program options: TherapeuticRiding, Horsemanship, and Hippotherapy.

The goals of the programs are to help students build muscle strength, develop fine motor skills, and grow in independence and self-confidence. These programs help the children develop relationships with horses and people, enhancing their emotional and social skills. We rely on the generosity of our community to continue the program at NO COST to our participants.

Volunteer

Volunteer

Volunteers are the core of our program. Horse Play, Inc. has numerous volunteer opportunities available for ages 12 and up. They include direct program support by working with the students, caring for the horses, barn help, groundskeeping, special projects, special events, marketing and fundraising.

Volunteering at Horse Play, Inc provides you with the satisfaction of helping those in need, caring for horses and our facility, along with making new friends and making our community better.

We are grateful to everyone that has chosen to volunteer with us and welcome new volunteers with open arms. Come be a part of our team!

"The instructors and volunteers are so good with the kids. They are extremely knowledgeable, encouraging and dedicated. They are specifically placed with specific riders based on their needs and are very intentional about working with these kids to meet their goals. We are extremely grateful for the opportunity to participate in such a wonderful program. Horse Play has truly made Aubrey's life better through therapy. We can't thank the staff, volunteers, instructors, and supporters of this program enough." ~ Amy Cunningham, Aubrey's mom.
